Magnopus project completed for Oculus to demonstrate novel hand tracking technology for the Oculus Quest; application was premiered at Oculus Connect 6 in San Jose. The VR application featured a sorcerer's potionary where each user transformed their own hands.
For this project I was both Lead Design as well as an Engineer.
Elixir was a big hit among OC6 guests! The queue line to see the experience averaged about 2.5 hrs, and the second day of the conference there was a stampede to see the experience. During this project I developed my leadership skills in guiding a large team of people with extremely diverse backgrounds. I communicated with our director, producer, and client often to manage expectations and act as a design and technical reference for any questions. Because of our efforts, this project was delivered early and exceeded expectations, it also was under budget and required little to no overtime of our teammates.
Technology premiere marketing video, released at Oculus Connect 6
Mark Zuckerberg actually posted a video of himself playing our application on the day of the Oculus Connnect 6 Premiere!
